Send a listing in a message
Sellers can put one of their listings into a conversation with Send a listing, so the buyer sees exactly which item is meant.
When a buyer asks what you have, or the two of you talk about several items, it helps to show the exact listing instead of describing it. You can drop one of your own listings into the conversation.
Steps
- Open the conversation with the buyer.
- Tap Send a listing.
- Pick the listing from your live listings.
- It appears in the conversation with its photo, title and price. The buyer can open it from there.
When it helps
- A buyer wrote from your profile and did not say which item he means.
- You want to suggest an alternative to an item that is gone.
- You agreed on a custom order and want to point to the listing it is based on.
Good to know
- You send your own listings. A buyer cannot do this, because buyers have no listings.
- Sending a listing does not reserve or sell it. The sale is marked with Sold to him after you shipped.
- The price of the listing is your asking price. What you agree on with the buyer in the conversation is what counts between you.
