The issue of penis size has been around for what seems like forever. For centuries, the question of how to get a bigger penis has been close to the hearts of the male population, and penis size is known to affect feelings of masculinity, virility and fertility.
But are men thinking too much about this issue? Here's all you need to know about the average penis size, how to measure your penis, how to make your penis bigger and above all, what really matters!
In previous centuries, several scientific studies have been carried out to try to identify the average penis size. According to the latest ones, the official average size of the penis, measured while the penis is erect, is 13.12 centimetres long and 11.66 centimetres in circumference (girth).
Penis size greatly affects the male ego. They associate the size of their genitals with virility, potency and sexual performance. For a man, having a large penis influences his ability to sexually satisfy a woman, which is why so many men wonder how to measure your penis and how to get a bigger penis.
Let's start to dispel some of these myths: to satisfy a woman you don't need to have a big penis. What really matters when it comes to good sex has no relation to penis size, even if the porn industry suggests otherwise!
Paying too much attention to centimetres is a bad idea, and obsessing about this issue can be far more damaging to a man than having a few inches less down there - as shown by men who suffer from small penis syndrome or penis dysmorphism disorder. Spending less time wondering how to get a bigger penis is a good way to make men happier.
To those men who are obsessed with statistics, listen up, because the averages we are given by seemingly official studies aren’t always accurate! Most average penis size studies are carried out on younger boys (mostly university age) and on almost exclusively white males. This means the findings do not truthfully represent the general population.
Other studies simply asked a group of people to measure their penises on their own and send in the results. If someone asked you to measure your penis and tell them the size, would you tell the complete truth? Probably not. So it’s unlikely these men did too. So these results are questionable.
So even though we think we know average penis sizes, these results are unreliable!
We have explained that dwelling too much on the average size of the penis is not helpful. But, we know that curiosity should always be fed. So here's how to measure your penis (because if you’re going to do it, you may as well do it right):
First of all, when it comes to measuring penises, you need two types of ruler or measuring tape - one rigid and one flexible, so you are able to measure both length and circumference. Also, to get the most reliable results, it is best to measure your penis standing up.
The penis must be as erect as possible in order to be measured, so the first piece of advice is to relax. After that, take a stiff ruler and place it on your pubic bone. It is necessary to apply a little pressure and push the ruler into your body a little because part of the penis is not visible.
Also, with measuring penises you should not include the tip (i.e. the foreskin) as doing so would give you a false result!
To measure the circumference (girth) of the penis, take a flexible tape measure, like a seamstress' tape measure, and wrap it around the penis. To get the most reliable result, it is advisable to take the measurements three times: one from the base, one in the middle and one just underneath the foreskin. Take an average of these three measurements and you will have the circumference of your penis!
There are several answers to the question of how to make your penis bigger, but none guarantee significant growth. It is possible to undergo surgery, but given its complexity and the long recovery time (3 months), this is only advisable if your penis size is less than 5 cm. In all other cases, physical exercises can be used to strengthen the muscles of the penis and pelvis, making your penis better at what it does (and what it enjoys)!
Kegel exercises, which are also useful for women, are an excellent and commonly used method when it comes to how to get a bigger penis. To perform the exercises you must contract your pelvic muscles for 10 seconds and release them for another 10 seconds.
Inhale through the nose when contracting and exhale through the mouth when releasing in order to maintain concentration and keep the same rhythm.
Men are generally advised to practise these exercises even if they have no problem with their penis size because they help with incontinence problems in the future.
Another very useful practice is the Jelqing massage, which should be done when the penis is semi-erect. Jelquing is a penis stretching exercise which helps to improve blood circulation.
Finally, if you’re really wondering how to make your penis bigger, do some stretching! Take the tip of your penis between your thumb and index finger and gently pull it away from your body for 2 minutes. Always remember to inhale and exhale properly during these exercises!
These techniques are not magic, and, as with any exercise, doing it regularly and over a long period of time will get you the best results.
During intercourse, average penis size doesn't matter. It is not a long penis that leads to partner satisfaction. A woman’s erogenous zones are not only inside the vagina. When it comes to satisfying a woman, the most important things are kissing and touching, stimulation of the right points (like the clitoris) and listening to what your partner likes.
If we really want to think about the importance of size, it makes more sense to pay attention to the girth as opposed to length. Nonetheless, even a penis with a long length and large girth will have trouble satisfying a woman without help from the techniques we mentioned above!
So, does size matter? Not really. The real trump card is knowing how to use your penis, being creative, and never being afraid to explore your fantasies! So stop wondering how to make your penis bigger and start listening to your partner.
It will be worth it for everyone, we promise.
