Safety, rules and reports

What happens after a report

Reports go to the moderation team. Content that breaks the rules is removed and accounts that break them are closed. The reporter is never named.

A report is not a button that removes something by itself. It puts a case in front of people.

What the team does

  • It looks at the reported profile, listing or review and at what you wrote.
  • If the rules were broken, the content is removed.
  • For a serious or repeated breach, the account is closed, without warning.
  • Where the law requires it, the case is reported to the authorities.

What you will and will not hear

  • You see the confirmation that your report was sent.
  • You do not get a message about the outcome, and the member is never told who reported them.
  • If the content is gone or the account is closed, you will notice it on the site.

How long it takes

Reports are reviewed by people, so there is no fixed time. Reports about a possible minor or about exploitation come first.

In the meantime

  • Block the member. That works at once, and you need nobody's decision for it.
  • Do not answer provocations.
  • Keep the conversation as it is.

If you were reported

A report alone changes nothing about your account. If the team limits or closes an account, the status page says so, and support can tell you more. See your account is closed or limited.
