Log out and stay safe on shared devices

You stay logged in on a device until you log out, so that you do not have to type your password every time. On your own phone that is convenient. On a device that others use, it is a risk.

Log out

1. Open Your corner.
2. Tap Log out in the list under Account.

The same link is in your settings.

On a shared device

• Log out every time you are done.
• Do not let the browser save your password.
• Use a private window if the browser has one. It forgets the login when you close it.
• Close the window after logging out.

If you think someone else used your account

1. Change your password. That ends the logins on your other devices.
2. Check your email address in your settings.
3. Look through your messages and your listings for anything you did not write.
4. Contact support if something is wrong.

Good to know

Account pages and conversations are never stored by the browser as copies for later, so the back button does not bring them up again after you logged out.
