Location data and your photos

The location data of a photo is removed before it is sent from your device, and profiles show a country at most, never a town or an address.

Phones store where and when a photo was taken inside the photo file. That information would be easy to read for anyone who gets the file, so panty.com does not let it through.

What happens to a photo you add

  • Your browser prepares the photo before it is sent: it is made smaller if it is large, turned upright, and saved as a fresh file.
  • The fresh file carries no location and no camera data.
  • This applies to profile photos, listing photos and your profile picture.

What profiles show

  • A country, if you chose one.
  • Never a town, a street or an address. There are no such fields on a profile.

What you still have to watch yourself

  • The picture itself. A window view, a street sign, a letter on the table or a parcel label can show where you are.
  • Your texts. If you write your town into your About me or a listing, it is there.
  • Your parcels. The return address on a parcel is your choice. See ship discreetly.

A delivery address

A buyer gives a delivery address only to the seller they order from, in their order messages. It is never part of a profile.
